Shipping & Returns

Currently, Afropolitan ships mainly to the United States of America. To inquire about shipping options to your part of the world, please send us an email at info@shopafropolitan.com.

All purchases are shipped by international courier from Liberia (DHL or FEDEX). Purchases from countries outside Liberia may be liable to a small customs and duty fee which is payable by the customer, unfortunately this is not within our control.

You may cancel an order from your account before it is shipped. Shipping address changes must be requested before the order has been shipped. Once shipped, the address cannot be changed, cancelled, or diverted to a different shipping address. Three attempts to deliver your package will be made by our shipping courier. If you’re not available during these attempts, our courier will ask you to contact them to arrange a delivery of your package for a time when you’ll be present to receive it.

Please note that if the item is made-to-measure you may only be able to cancel the order before it is shipped provided that the garment hasn’t been altered or made yet.

Returns

If you receive an item and wish to return it for any reason you must inform Afropolitan in writing within 10 days of receiving the item.

You may also return any item to Afropolitan within 21 days if, in the unlikely event, the item becomes faulty.

We will then provide you instructions on how to return your item and once your item is received back, we will process your refund through Paypal.

Excessive returns will not be accepted. Refunds will not be given to any one customer for one specific product more than twice. There is an unlimited amount of orders that a customer can place for one specific product, but the money back guarantee is void after a customer has used it for one specific product more than twice.

Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is incorrect or faulty, in which case Afropolitan will refund the return postage. If you cancel your contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 any standard shipping charges that you have paid to receive your purchase will be included as part of your refund.

The items you return must be unworn and in their original condition save for your right to inspect the goods and try on the garments. It is your responsibility to ensure that you package the returned goods adequately so that it arrives back to Afropolitan undamaged.

When We Deliver

  • Non-embroidered items will be shipped out 10 to 14 working days from the date your order is confirmed. Please note that occasional delays in the international shipping process do occur.
  • Embroidered items will ship out within 3 weeks (18 calendar days). All Afropolitan apparel is custom-made by hand at our production workspace in Liberia before being shipped directly you. Since we don’t advance produce or store our clothing, there may be additional customs or duty fees associated with your order beyond the actual shipping cost for your items.
